It’s important to read past the headlines. I’ve been recommending vitamin D as per guidelines but also for other, non bone health related reasons. It is important to keep taking it off you have other symptoms that might be related.
The study itself is flawed.
As the study itself states; “it is only effective if individuals are vitamin D-deficient to begin with – but that in this research very few participants started off with low levels of vitamin D.”
So if you have low vitamin D, don’t get out much, cover up a lot, have unexplained pain, ache, feel stiff, have muscle tightness – TAKE VITAMIN D if advised by a health professional.
