What do we do?

We help you recover from trauma, injury, health issues and guide you on your long term fitness and well-being aims. Our multi-disciplinary approach means we can advise you on a wide range of issues and concerns you may have.

What happens when you visit us?

You will initially seen by a physiotherapist where we ask you about your ongoing issues then carry out some assessments including functional testing and specific musculoskeletal and neurological testing. Then treatment can be simple massage or soft tissue mobilisations (hurts a little bit) or it can be chiropractic techniques or even acupuncture.
The most important thing is that you develop an understanding of your pain and what things you can do to manage this in the short and long term.

What then?

The Physiotherapist will advise on your best long term treatment requirements. You might just be given exercises to see how you get on. If you can self manage then this is the best possible outcome. We are always available to discuss your needs and recommend the best course of action.

Other options.

To progress your rehabilitation you will be advised whether to move onto another practitioner, therapist or coach. This is especially important if you have specific fitness goals and are motivated to develop your skill and improve your performance.

How many sessions do I need?

There is no set idea here. Each session is taken in turn and no attempt will be made to get you to sign up to a long term “course” of treatment.

Danny has elected not to do insurance work here at dbphysiobristol except where your policy just needs the issuing of a receipt so you can reclaim the cost of assessment/treatment. This is due to the administrative burden required to manage insurance requirements. Danny does have the necessary support in place where he works in Bradley Stoke; Willow Brook Clinic. Contact them directly for an appointment.
